The Laurenz Family lives north of Wheeler, and each year they graciously invite all the fourth graders in Midland County to visit the family farm. Students will rotate through several stations to learn about farm life, animals, machines, farm economics, and more. Thank you, in advance, to the members of the Laurenz family, their friends, some 4-H in the Creek members, and several Breckenridge FFA students who will help run the stations. It's always such an enjoyable way to kick off the fourth grade year.
We will be gone from 8:55 AM – 1:30 PM. Please have your child dress for the weather. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended for walking through fields.
Your child will need a sack lunch and drink. If possible, please pack your child’s lunch in a disposable paper sack with his/her name written on it. It would be easier if you’d pack nothing that would need to be returned to the school.
Due to limited space on the busses, the field trip is limited to only students and five chaperones per class. The following chaperones will ride the bus with us: Mrs. Ellsworth, Mrs. Emmendorfer, Mrs. Lacusta, Mrs. Munoz, and Mr. (or Mrs.) Ward.
Thank you!
