The weather was absolutely gorgeous for our trek to the Chippewa Nature Center this morning. The "Aquatic Life" field trip introduced students to the living and non-living components of a pond ecosystem. They learned about how some aquatic plants and animals have adapted for life in the water. They explored the edges of a pond using dippers and nets. After they dipped, they used microscopes to identify the organisms that they found.
Thank you to the Chippewa Nature Center for a warm welcome and to our CNC guides: Miss Allie, Miss Kris, and Miss Mary Beth. Also, thank you to our wonderful chaperones: Mrs. Cronkright, Mr. Herron, Mrs. Mulder, & Mrs. Parsons. We appreciated everyone's help to make this a wonderful learning experience.
