The children spent time crafting presents for loved ones in the days leading up to break. They took to heart every gift. Each one was made, wrapped, and packaged with love. Enjoy. Our Christmas party was full of fun and laughter as the children took part in Pictionary, BINGO, a Mad Lib, and a stacking challenge. After that, they ate yummy snacks and then headed off for a well-deserved vacation. Thank you to everyone who had a part in making our Christmas party a success.
Senora Brandt and some of her 8th grade Spanish students stopped by to spread some Christmas cheer through songs. We enjoyed hearing some familiar tunes, joining them in singing Feliz Navidad, and eating a tasty treat. They did a terrific job. Thank you for stopping by!
The snow came just in time to add a little sparkle to our special trip to the high school for a band concert. The band sounded amazing, and the children really enjoyed themselves. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
Hanukkah is underway! It started the evening of December 7 and will end on December 15. We have been trying our hand at learning to play Dreidel in groups and virtually. Here's the virtual game: https://www.abcya.com/games/hanukkah_dreidel
We constructed a model of a human finger to explore how the bones, joints, tendons, and muscles work together to make a finger function.
Today was a beautiful day for a bonus recess. As part of our school's PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports) initiative, the children can earn tickets for displaying safe, respectful, and responsible behavior. Our class worked together to save up their tickets and redeem them for a bonus 15-minute recess for our class. Well done, everyone!
Step inside our classroom Winter Wonderland. This morning's snow came and went too quickly, so we took the opportunity to make our own snowflakes that will stay around a bit longer.
