In order to save us a lot of time on the first day of school, it would be VERY helpful if you would label the items at home. Please note that each color is for a different subject. Please see photos and labeling information below.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Thank you so much!

Homework Binder:
- Select a 1" binder that will be used to transport homework/notes daily. It can be any color/design.
- Front of binder: Write student's first & last name in the top, right-hand corner and label, "Homework"
- Inside binder: Label one pocket "Homework/Return to School" and the other pocket "Keep at Home."
Notebooks & Folder:
Please write student's first and last name in top, right-hand corner of each item. Write the subject on the front, too.
Each color is for a different subject (Feel free to substitute other colors for any that you were unable to find.):
- Reading (composition book) -- I chose red, but any color of composition book is fine.
- Writing (composition book) -- I chose black, but any color of composition book is fine.
- Social Studies (yellow)
- Science (green)
- Math (blue)
- Math Lab (purple)
- Work in Progress (two-pocket folder -- any color/design)
Optional Writing Notebook Decorating Idea:
Your child is welcome to personalize the front and/or back covers of the writing composition book with photos or other items such as magazine clippings, stickers, etc. The hope is that the items used to decorate the cover will trigger emotions, ideas, and memories for our upcoming writing pieces. Once finished, it's a good idea to place packing tape over the covers so items don't fall off when moved in and out of the desk. (This is an optional activity; it's fine to leave the cover plain.)
Supplies & Supplies Boxes:
- Items labeled with the student's name and/or identified with duct tape are easy to return to the owner.
- Pencils can be marked with colorful duct tape, too. Sharpening them at home would be a time saver. :)
- Space-saving idea: Eliminate marker & colored pencil boxes, label items with duct tape, and place into supply boxes.
Thank you so much for your support with the purchasing and labeling of the school supplies. It's such a HUGE help!
