Our class celebrated a day early with a theme of, "Hats Off to Dr. Seuss." As you can see, many of us wore red, stripes, and/or festive hats. We also had the option to bring a stuffed animal in order to have something soft and cuddly to hold as we read.
Before we read and listened to some Dr. Seuss books, we learned about the literary elements of rhyme, rhythm, and repetition. We noticed that Dr. Seuss, as well as many poets, use a lot of those elements to add interest to their writing.
Happy reading!
