- Enjoyed reading animal books in the River Outlook Area during library skills class
- Switched teachers for the morning (Mrs. Otey taught us about finding food in a survival situation; Ms. Johnson taught Mrs. Miller's class the clouds, weather, & erosion lesson that we did on Tuesday. Since Ms. Johnson wasn't with us for the morning, there aren't any photos of the activities. Please ask us to tell you about them though!)
- Went on a survival food hike
- Set live animal traps
- Created our own fishing poles from dead and down materials and the hooks from hawthorn thorns
- Used our poles to try our hand at fishing
- Worked with Miss Christina and Ms. Johnson in the afternoon
- Played a food chain game
- Checked our live animal traps
- Learned about plants to avoid:
- Buckthorn – acts like a laxative which can lead to dehydration
- High Bush Cranberry- upsets stomach, could cause vomiting
- Poison Ivy – reacts with skin and rashes
- Looked for tracks and talked about how tracking could help in a survival situation
