Thank you to Mrs. Lampi from Midland's Violence Prevention Partnership for providing an internet safety presentation. It covered the topics of being appropriate, avoiding risks, being cautious of sharing personal information, and not using mean or hurtful language on social media. You may want to follow up with your child about the points covered in the presentation. (See slides below.)

Our field trip to Lansing will be on Friday, March 13th, 2020. We will tour the Michigan State Capitol and the Michigan History Museum.
Departure & Return Times: Please arrive to school between 7:15 – 7:20 AM. (Front doors will open at 7:15 AM.) Students should report to the classroom. We will board the bus at 7:25 AM. The bus will depart from Pine River at 7:30 AM and return by 3:30 PM. Students should plan to go home as usual. Backpack with Snacks, Drinks, & Book (optional) Your child will carry his/her backpack onto the bus. Please place a few healthy snacks and drinks into your child’s backpack, not into the sack lunch. (Sack lunches will be stored under the bus and will not be available until lunchtime.) Students are welcome to pack a book (including a notebook, puzzle book, & word search). The backpack will stay on the bus while we are inside the Capitol and museum. The planner and the homework folder should be left at home that day. Sack Lunch: Remember to pack a sack lunch for your child unless you preordered one from the school. Please label your child’s sack and drink. Students tend to be quite thirsty after so much walking. If possible, please send a disposable bottle of water. Clothing: Students are welcome to wear Bullock Creek apparel, school colors, or to dress up. Students will need to wear quiet, close-toed shoes (no flip-flops, high-heels, etc.) We will be doing a lot of walking and we’ll be in the presence of Senators and Congressmen whom we will not want to disturb. Spending Money: If time allows, our class may be able to visit the gift shop inside the museum. Feel free to send a few dollars with your child on the day of the trip. Students will be responsible to hold onto their own money that day. Chaperones: Thank you to the following chaperones who will ride the bus with us: Mrs. Babinski, Mrs. Collicker, Mrs. Daniel, and Mrs. Pollard. In the event that one of our bus chaperones cannot attend, Mrs. Lacusta has been drawn to be our alternate. The bus chaperones will have no entry fee into the Michigan History Museum. A detailed schedule of the day will be provided the morning of our trip. For additional chaperones who will be driving separately:
